Retirement Celebration

  "A good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others.”  This is significantly true for the Sweetwater Union High School District teachers who retired this 2011.  Our honorees: Mrs. Dolores Balane from Eastlake High School, Ms. Virginia Ferrer from Otay Ranch High School, and Mr. Felizardo Moscoso from Montgomery High School taught Filipino classes and other core subjects. Indeed, they lighted and enriched students’ lives in understanding and appreciating the Filipino language and its cultural heritage. Members of the Council for Teaching Filipino Language and Culture (CTFLC), along with guests and friends, celebrated the beginning of their retirement on June 3, 2011 at Tita’s II Restaurant at National City with a program.  A Welcome Remarks by CTFLC Pres.
