Hornblower Dinner Cruise

Indeed, it was a celebration!

Looking back a few weeks, most members of CTFLC were busy tackling grades and preparing for graduation. In spite of personal hectic schedule, each was able to squeeze in community participation such as the Balboa Centennial Philippine Independence and Mabuhay Festival 2015 celebrations. On June 14, 2015, CTFLC unwound and relaxed at Hornblower Cruise Ship. Thanks to Maria Fontimayor, as well as the CTFLC Social Committee members who meticulously planned and prepared everything.

At exactly 6:00 PM that Sunday, everbody boarded and the ship left San Diego Seaport Harbor. For this three-hour yacht cruise, everybody enjoyed each other’s company, feasted on three-course meal, relished the beuatiful scenery by the bay, and swayed with the rhythm of the music.

Before the boat sailed, everybody scrambled for their cameras to capture the moment with selfies and groupies. Smiles beamed everywhere.

Dining in spectacular view was a moment to remember. With a three-course dinner of salad of the season, glazed salmon or braised beef, and raspberry swirl cheesecake, everybody had their fill.

Of course, there was dancing. Ms. Jacquiline Magat-Lapid and Ms. Mary Rose Peralta lighted up the dance floor. They proved that they are not only excellent leaders in the community, but also leaders in the dance floor. Even other guests joined them.

As the music faded, the yacht docked gently on the Seaport Village. Maria Antoinette Melero who is a CTFLC member summed up when she said, “It was fun, excited, enjoyable with great company, conversation, and good food.”

Now, everybody would be ready to face with renewed energy the upcoming CTFLC professional development workshops.
